Bernard Rooke studio pottery totem lamp - mid century brutalist style. A rare early Rooke hand crafted/decorated (later models, made up of moulded sections) table lamp in very good condition approx 16 (40cm) tall (not including light fitting). One of the most sought after post war/mid century British studio pottery names, Bernard Rooke (born 1938) has exhibited his "Brutalist" ceramics and paintings both in the UK and abroad with work in many collections both public and private including the Victoria and Albert Museum, Cleveland Museum of Art, Nuffield Foundation, Paisley Museum and Art Galleries, Leicester Museum, Buckinghamshire County Museum, Röhsska Museum in Sweden and the Trondheim Kunstmuseum in Norway amongst others.
